Nissan Motor Company, Limited is a Japanese automotive manufacturer based in Yokohama. Its common name, Nissan, is an acronym for "Nippon Sangyo" (in Japanese means "Japanese industry"). It is among the leading automotive companies in terms of annual vehicle production. Since 1999 has an industrial alliance with French carmaker Renault.
