Originally Ataka Engineering was the distributor of Hawk Cars in Asia, but went on to directly build the Hawk HF model request of its customers, using a Nissan Mazda engine and tools for other components such as lights, brakes, steering, among others. Remarkable is the air conditioning option, not available in the Hawk, nor of course in the Stratos. The HFR have the address on the left, despite being assembled in Japan, where cars have it right.

While HFR2000 is a Hawk engine Nissan, with its next model, the HFR2000 Type II powered by Toyota, the number of components of Japanese origin is larger, with an upmarket and a front redesigned, which is increased in the HFR3200, with the engine of the Honda NSX, in which the characteristic retractable headlights disappear.
