Geely Automobile (Simplified Chinese: 吉利 汽车; traditional Chinese: 吉利 汽车; pinyin: Jili Qiche) is a Chinese automotive brand and the first independent automobile manufacturer in the People's Republic of China. The parent company is Geely Holding Group (吉利 控股 集团). In December 2009 it was announced that it had agreed to acquire Volvo Cars from Ford Motor Company.

Geely is a brand that began in 1986 as a manufacturer of refrigerators and air conditioning. In 1994, Geely began manufacturing motorcycles and scooters. Car production started in 1999. In 2005 Geely Automobile and Daewoo signed an agreement to develop vehicles in Asia. At present, China has 57 brands own cars. Geely is the ninth Chinese carmaker by market share, far from the big four of China: SAIC, FAW, Dongfeng and ChangAn.

Geely has a workforce of about 12,000 people. Manages six assembly plants throughout China with a total production capacity of 300,000 vehicles per year. The group also has about 500 dealers and 600 service points throughout the country.

Geely officially acquired the Swedish automaker Volvo from Ford in 2010 hands.
