The front engined clubman sports racing car, is from january 2000 manufactured in Sweden. Chris Greville-Smith,  handed over the manufacturing rights, drawings, jigs and moulds to INFO-DESIGN AB / JNC AB.

The Clubmans racing started - as so many other racing classes - in Great Britain. In the early sixties most of the cars in the clubman class were Lotus 7:s and similar sports cars. More purpose built racing cars were developed and the standard 7:s and similar home built cars were not competitive any more. The first Phantom Clubman racer was constructed during 1972 by Richard Cresswell and Chris Greville-Smith designed the bodywork.  Richard Cresswell raced the car for the first time 1973 at Silverstone and it came second in its very first race.  During the years the car has been redesigned several times by Chris Greville-Smith who also during long periods has been racing himself, which has been important for the continious development of the car. He was 2nd in four national championships, setting lap records on all circuits while customers have won three national championships. 20 cars were built in Great Britain.

In Great Britain, Rovers K-series 1600 cc standard engine is used. The rest of the technical regulation is rather free. Certain measurements must be conformed with - however it is for example only allowed to use spaceframe chassis. A proto class was intruduced a couple of years ago allowing 2 liter engines up to 240 hp.

The first UK race in Supersports 200 with Vauxhall 2 liter engine, was won by a Phantom P94. Today this class is not existing any more.

Five races are included in the Swedish Sports Cars Championship. The Scandinavian Clubman Registers Cup includes these five races and often an additional race in Norway or Denmark.

The cars are built for racing purpose only and have a full body enclosing also the front wheels. The cars was from the beginning intended to accomodate two seats, it is however nowadays allowed to occupy the passenger area with for example a petrol tank. Wheel suspensions are fully adjustable and the cars have aerodynamic aids and two different sets of tyres - slicks for dry weather and treaded for rain.

The engine which is used in Sweden is the standard Ford Zetec 1800cc. The fuel injection system is replaced by two double Weber 40:s. This means a reliable racing car with a minimal of maintenance, resulting in low running costs.

Despite the relatively low power output - around 155 bhp - these cars are very fast on the race tracks. This thanks to the very good cornering speed which is achived by the refined wheel suspension and the downforce created by a diffusor and wings.

Much racing for the money, most drivers claim.

Phantom - which is a particularly good-looking Clubman racer - is nowadays manufactured in Sweden only. With the original drawings as a base, many detail improvements have been made, some of them initiated by Chris Greville-Smith.

The latest Clubman car - S22 has a further developed frame and a complete new front suspension.

The car can be delivered fully assembled and equipped according to individual requirements, but can also be delivered in different kit forms.
