Since 1982, Specialty Vehicles has been the premier provider of the most diversified line of transportation vehicles in the world, including specialty trolleys, trams, electric vehicles and buses. Their current staff has experience ranging from sales and marketing, vehicle maintenance, technical application, full-service parts and warranty issues as well as manufacturing.
After 22 years of calling Southern California home, SVI relocated their corporate offices to Henderson, Nevada. Their new location offers service, maintenance, refurbishment, and parts sales. The move to Nevada also allowed Specialty Vehicles to add buses to their impressive fleet of vehicles and is currently the Supreme bus distributor in the state of Nevada and Puerto Rico. Almost 30 years later, they are proud to announce the much anticipated expansion of their business and services to include a new corporate headquarters set to open in late 2011. This second Henderson facility boasts a 2 acre parts and services facility to handle the local Southern Nevada business along with a dedicated manufacturing facility for the new Metro Tram produced by SVI, Inc. .
SVI, Inc. has been exclusive distributor for Supreme Corporation’s, Classic American Trolley since 1998. Since then, over 500 trolleys have been manufactured at Supreme and sold throughout the United States, Guam, Asia and South America. Their Classic American Trolley offers a familiar nostalgia and comfortable modern safety.
They strive to build successful, lasting relationships with a diversified group of tram manufacturers; currently they work closely with Supreme and Chance Rides in Kansas as well as other trusted domestic manufacturers through the US. These relationships allow SVI to offer an expanded product line of people moving equipment that meet their clients’ safety and facility needs.
They are actively involved with related industry associations including, the International Association of Amusement Parks & Attractions (IAAPA), the American Public Transportation Association (APTA), and the Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA). SVI is a certified DBE and WBE Corporation.
In an effort to stay current with marketing trends and overall global concern, SVI also offers sustainable solutions to customers concerned about their carbon footprint, including alternate fuel sources like CNG, LPG and Bio-fuel as well “true-green” options, such as zero-emission battery powered people-movers with a solar panel option for optimal efficiency.
As they move toward a global economy and developing international need for people moving equipment, SVI continues their goal of offering the highest quality products in their industry.
