The Taipan is based on a Series II NB Mazda Miata MX5 donor vehicle, with rear wheel drive and a near perfect 50-50-weight distribution.
The Taipan LFX has been designed to utilize and maintain all Mazda Miata MX5 safety systems and components including front and rear impact protection, side door impact protection, SRS airbags, collapsible steering column, pre-tensioned seat belts, anti-lock brakes (ABS), dual speed wipers.
Kit made in Kevlar reinforced fiberglass body panels which will reduce the MX5’s 1056kg weight to under 1000kg.
