Acura (ア キ ュ ラ) is a brand name used by the Japanese automaker Honda in the United States, Canada and Hong Kong since March 1986, to attack the market for luxury cars. The brand was introduced in Mexico in 2004, China in 2006 and Panama in 2013. It also plans to introduce Acura to the Japanese market itself in 2008. With the Acura brand, Honda leads the way to being the first to market luxury vehicles Japanese outside of Japan. Before Acura, cars exported from Japan were low cost.
