Alfa Romeo is an Italian automobile brand, founded in 1910 in Milan. Alfa Romeo cars have always been known for its elegant design and high performance, especially in the segments of Gran Turismo and Sports. On January 1, 1910, a group of industrial Lombards decides to start production model and Darracq sells its Italian subsidiary Portello factory included. In June of that year Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili's, which adopts as symbols red cross on a white field logo Milan and Biscione, the serpent on a blue field symbol Visconti is constituted. Alfa Romeo has had financial problems at various times, finally joining in 1987 at the Turin Fiat Group, as they did before other historical Italian brands such as Ferrari, Maserati and Lancia.
