This car is also manufactured under license in the United States by TMI AutoTech Inc, and distributed in different countries for exclusive importers: in Mexico "UK Supercars, "or in Spain "Arielmotor" is the exclusive distributor. The Ariel Atom features high power but above all for their low weight, since this car only weighs 456 kg; "If it is not essential, is not": this is the maximum that engineers have used Ariel Motor Company to develop the Atom, a model of high performance, but with a seemingly modest mechanics. The Ariel Atom is marketed today are available with a loan from Honda engine, which belongs to the Honda Civic Type R, 4-cylinder dual overhead cam iVTEC technology and 2 L engine developing 245 horsepower at 8200 rpm and maximum torque of 210 Nm at 6100 rpm. Optionally turbocharging this engine bringing it up to 300 horsepower is offered. Monta a gearbox 6-speed aluminum box with hydraulic clutch. chassis
The Ariel Atom is built on a tubular chassis and not a body mounted on it in order to save weight. Riding a steel roll bar between the seats leaving room for the air intake of the engine. The suspension stems from cars being fully adjustable. As an option is offered among others, safety kits as 5 point harnesses and a full anchor kit and carbon fiber side panels and a small windshield.
