The Russian construction firm automotive IzhAvto ( ИжАвто), is a manufacturer of motorcycles, passenger cars, light commercial vehicles and machinery. It is located in the city of Izhevsk, Russia; now part of the giant AvtoVAZ, in tripartite property with Renault and Nissan. Their first products were a number of first motorcycles filed since 1928, and designed by the Soviet engineer Pyotr Mokharov (1888-1934). His first cars were copies of the models 412 and AZLK-2138 and 2140 Moskvitch until Oda IZh-2126, this car was very similar to Moskvitch AZLK-2141 Aleko, but had a differentiation as traction was on the rear axle .

With about 10 million cars, and nearly 11 million motorcycles produced in the facilities of the company, now in the hands of AvtoVAZ, Renault and Nissan; is one of the largest automotive manufacturers in Russia
