The kit car that is aimed at the Lotus Seven market the SR2 is intended for the client who wants something special but at an affordable price. This hand-built sports car is available either as a kit for the self build enthusiast or as factory finished vehicle for road or track.
The SR2 chassis has been developed using the latest computer aided design (CAD) technology to ensure precision engineered build quality and perfect performance. The round tube triangulated design of the chassis ensures rigidity and lightness when this is combined with Mazda MX5 running gear the result is a car with a kerb weight of just 560 kilograms boasting a very impressive power to weight ratio.
The engine is a 1600 MK1 engine with T25 turbo, intercooler, RX8 injectors, Canems ECU and electronic boost control 225bhp giving a power to weight ratio of 400bhp per tonne.
The LM1 is a serious performance machine, with either a Suzuki Hayabusa or GSXR 1000 engine and a very low weight, plus aerodynamic bodywork with all inboard push rod suspension will make its performance in the premier division. It's street legal.
