Esemka adalah produk mobil hasil rakitan siswa-siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan yang bekerja sama dengan institusi serta industri dalam negeri dan beberapa perusahaan lokal dan nasional. Kandungan komponen lokal (dalam negeri) berkisar antara 20%-80%.
Vehicle manufacturer PT Solo Manufaktur Kreasi (Esemka) says it will start mass production of the Esemka car as it has concluded a manufacturing agreement with the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (UMS) and Beijing Automotive Group (BAIC), a Chinese car maker, at the beginning of this month.
Esemka spokesperson Sabar Budi Samekto said the company would start mass production of Esemka cars in 2015.
